Hey Tommy! When shipping anything to the USA with Canada Post, you have to put a little green sticker(duty sticker I think it's called) describing what it is..(electronics) and on this sticker you check off "gift" and place a value on it. You can also purchase insurance if it's a trackable parcel. I'm not sure why Listia made you change "free shipping". If you pay for shipping it is free. There's always a chance with any parcel shipping from Canada to USA or vise versa for extra charges, even if it's a "gift". Tax everything! Lol hope this helps. :)

Hi,

If you select “Free Shipping” in your delivery method, it must be unconditional. This means you cannot add conditions within your listing description for shipping to be free. If you want to include shipping conditions, you can set a fixed shipping cost and then add a free shipping condition in your description such as “if credits reach X amount, shipping is then free.”

Please edit your listing and add shipping fees so bidders will know there is a charge. We’d hate to delete your listing because it’s unclear. Thanks for your help!

Thanks kindly Harley .. The truth of the matter is that the shipping itself was absolutely free to the US. Now I have had to place a price on it which was never my intent. You will note all of my auctions to date have included free shipping to Canada and the USA. As a result now any thing that may incur a tariff or duty to the buyer in the US, they will no longer benefit from me paying the specific shipping costs itself. Do you know the rules if I send something from Canada to the USA, if is sent as a gift ? As WizardWorldGifts below notes ... Because the buyer is not giving me any monetary compensation on the auctions and cannot sell my credits back for currency, this would make all auction wins on Lista a gift.
