Okay I am listing this ds for parts only. These sell for parts on feebay for around $20 to $45 dollars. I decided to let it go here instead. When I push the power button the bottom screen flashes once but it will not power up. The top screen has been replaced and is new. Not sure what the problem is. It has not been dropped or wet. It just won't power up. You will be getting the DS and a Gameboy charger and the carry strap and the battery. All in all it is in good looking condition with light wear. Someone may need this for parts or maybe they can fix it. Good luck and happy bidding. :>)

I have fixed them for friends before and never received enough money to buy one for my little brother (its the only thing he asks for) so I hope I win this so I can fix it up and give it to him on his birthday! He would just love it so much! :)

Well, here's what I have experienced fixing them:
It seems ribbon cables (the good kind that will last longer than a month can cost 20-50 each) need to be replaced, or the whole circuit board holding the Ribbon cables. Oh, and the cables and wires connecting to the top of the screen have either burned out or died off. Ribbon cables can be easy to fix, if you have the money. The wires connecting to the top screen...is a whole different issue. To fix it, you would either have to have a warranty on it and send it in, or another DS system to rip the parts out of.

There's also the fuse, judging by the video, its blown out. Probably another 15-20 dollars there :P

I think I may know what's wrong with this. What does the top screen do when you turn it on? Is it the touchscreen that acts up, or the top? Does only one screen flash? If so, when one screen cannot turn on, the DS is programmed and designed to shut down the system as an auto failure check.

And finally...are you sure it is not on sleep mode or if your battery hasn't died? Sometimes batteries die and this can happen. :)

The bottom screen flashes one time when I turn it on. The top screen does nothing. I have had it charging and tried it with the charger but it won't come on. The green light lights up an d then goes off after the bottom screen flashes. ???

I am not hiding anything. The auction states that it is for parts only. These sell on feebay for good money just for the parts because people can re-use them to fix theres. The sell the same ones for parts! It is members like you that everyone should BLOCK! I am offering something that someone may be able to use and with FREE shipping! Someone may even be able to fix it if they are mechanicly inclined to do so. That is why people are bidding. They are bidding for the parts. Why don't you mind your business and your own auction if you ever list any and I will mind mine.
