You can do the same and pay $20-30/year or less if you get 5 yrs for Magic Jack.

thats ok if you have the money to fork out all in one shot...some don't...so 9.99 is a easier route...just saying...I used it until I could afford a regular phone line...frontier with the bundle pkg...it works great,,

Yea but thing is you have to get Internet @ $15-40/mnth for either one. Which is cheaper? magic jack or this?

Just saying. A regular land line no internet or package can cost as low as $15-20 / month - Local only no long distance plan added. (long distance incoming calls don't cost you just the caller).
