The plaque commemorates a car show event that took place April 26, 2003, hosted by the Dixieland Cruisers of Savannah, Georgia.

The Dixieland Cruisers car club was established in 1987. The nonprofit group formed to promote interest in auto activities, to create good fellowship and sportsmanship among members, and to support various charities.
