F/W I live in a HUGE old house and there are a lot of doors that require a Skeleton Key. I have several doors that won't open with the keys & since you can still have them cut ... I hope I win. GREAT AUCTION :D

Why do you think this is an antique? It appears to be a reproduction blank. I am a locksmith and can buy these for a couple of bucks each or less in bulk and cut them to fit any lock that accepts this style of skeleton key. To find a true antique, uncut skeleton key is right next to impossible. I'm not trying to be mean or nasty, just letting you know what I know about these keys. I have been doing this for 25 years and have never come across a real antique blank skeleton key. Yes you can take it to a locksmith and have it cut if he knows what he is doing. They have to be cut with a file by hand. I hope this doesn't earn me a seat at your block party. Have a great day.

Idea!! This would also be excellent for metal carvers because of the square space. Like a Hobo Nickel carver. I think if its non magnetic its a softer metal but if it is magnetic its a harder metal. Can't quite remember. But if someone did do a fancy job of carving it and then nickel plated it all by hand and re-listed it. Holy moly! That would get a pretty Listia credit.

you are correct, this is an uncut key, u can have a locksmith cut this key

Im over 40...But .thanks for the compliment....Yes 20 years ago ...was from the house i grew up in, found them in an old box I Had in the closet ...just because its clean , doesn't mean its not old...There is no numbers on it...i dont know what your talking about
