Planting Directions:
1. Loosen the dirt up in the area that you are going to be planting your poppy seeds.its important to water them every 3-5 days.
2. The seeds should be sown in the spring time, or for the hardier variety such as the California poppy, mid fall. After 14 to 28 days, the seeds will begin their germination, sending up shoots.
3. Thin them out by this point. They will not flower well if this process is skipped. Pick out the few strong ones to keep.
4. Once they are a couple inches tall, move them to their final resting place. Make sure to keep pots moist.
5. When they start to flower, remove buds to ensure that they keep producing blooms. They do well in poor soil that other plants may not be able to survive in.
6. When summer comes, let the seed pods develop to harvest seeds for the next season.
