Questions & Comments
I would love to bid but I like many other Listians will not bid on the items of an unverified seller. I've won 3 rings that I never got. If you want us to take you seriously, you need to get verified. FB & Twitter are not enough. It is a lovely ring & if you get verified, you will see the bids soar. I hope that you are also aware that you do not receive the points until the buyer receives the ring.
Just check the diamond auctions & see how many new people list diamonds & ask for high shipping. Then they don't ship. They must think they will get their points as soon as the auction is over, which they don't get until the buyer says they got the item. Even if they don't get the points, they have the amount of shipping. Wouldn't you think a new person would test the waters with an inexpensive item first? Not if it is a scam.
emymichelle , you are new , too , until you've been through it , it's hard to get the concept. Many of us spending a lot of time, working hard at selling our things, many for only what amounts to pennies. Some sell things like postcards for the eqivalent of 50 cents! It takes a very , very long time to 5000 credits! And to get to 50000 credits a WHOLE lot longer! How would you feel if you worked for months to get to that stage, only to find you've been scammed on a beautiful item you wanted to give your girlfriend to ask her to get married? And then you have to wait some more to get your credits back, wouldn't you be leary it could happen again? (We do see lots of scammers)
Tree trunks, the problem with having a listing in 2 places is that someone is going to get really disappointed. What if you win this bid & she decides to not send it to you but accepts an offer from the other site? Not only will you be disappointed, but you might lose out on another item waiting for Listia to refund your points. She needs to decide on one site.
That was my listing on Kijiji BTW. This item just ever sells there. The kijiji add has the same email address and user name as well. If need be contact me via email from kijiji.
I would guess she won't send it, I am sure she probably thinks when it's over she gets the Credits right away, which she don't unless she ships , and she has no idea that's how it works.
It is a gorgeous Ring but I'm to weary to put a bid in, I hope You answer some of the questions that would really help us and get verified trough Listia, then people trust that person better, hope it helped
Its tough - I have 80,000 pts coming my way. I sure would like to have this gorgeous ring but too scared to bid. Fanned and watching for updates. Good luck
I am right there with you guys. I have been burnt a lot here lately. I have been so frustrated. Bid on unique stuff, send them shipping dues then you don't hear anything back. I have waited as much as 20 days. I can say this do we see stuff like this ring on listia? If she was on the up an up, why hasn't she responded since the 8th. She isn't because she knows she was caught in a scam. Or she let it go on the other site. What I don't understand is why she was allowed to continue the auction after it was found on 2 sites. I am like WOW of this ring, but good luck to those that have bid.
Also I'd recommend you take pics of the paperwork, authentic documents from a jewelry store does help a lot ,too! Those two things make a huge difference in the price you'll get.
Melody, I'm looking at your photo, and you look quite young mind me asking are you over 18? I know this is a barrage of questions, but Listians are very seriously about their shopping! Especially when it comes to Diamonds and Gold. If you are over 18 it's ok for you to sell on here, assuming it is yours to sell. We just want to be sure , because it is true, lots of people try scamming(I've been scammed myself , and it took nearly a month to get my credits back.) As the lady above said, you don't get the credits unless you deliver the goods!! It is a gorgeous ring , and I'd love to bid, but I won't unless you verify your address. Ty Good Luck! I hope you do take down one of the auctions, too!
Hey peoples if u dont trust dont bid but why dirt someone without to let her have a change to show that she is honnest by the way if it's not listia give u back ur bid and paid by credit card if she not ship it she got problem with police for fraud and u can charge it at ur inassurance!
I'm taking a stab at it anyway because I'm new too, but no new to selling on other sites. Also I'm half Canadian on my Mother's side, and they're pretty honest people
Ok, well just my opinion , but if it's worth that much money,Why would someone post it on here? I mean she will never see it's worth in credits as she would cash, that right there would prevent my bid. I was just confused about her other listing, and while it is probably where she is from ,it doesn't mean she will ship it ,that part is true, and if you decide to bid on an auction like this, that is the chance you take having your credits tied up. Good luck!
she's right about having your credits tied up. I, at this point have close to 100,000 credits tied up on two scams, and it's talking some time to work this out. Meanwhile real pieces of gold jewelry that I love are just floating right by and I don't have all the credits I need to get them now. Careful. Watching and fanned. Fan back.
I don't see the problem she listed it on two different sites, shes from Canada just as her Facebook states, and the listing on the other website states, I must be missing something. But I wouldn't list such a expensive item on here, that's just my opinion however.
In order to get better results from your listing, please add a clear, close-up picture of the item in your possession instead of using a photo taken by the someone else. We also highly recommended writing your Listia username on a piece of paper and showing it next to your item in one of the pictures. This really helps people to bid with confidence because it proves the item is in your possession.
This isn’t a requirement, but it’s strongly encouraged, so you’ll get more bids and more credits for your item. It'll also prevent your listing from getting flagged and potentially deleted.
