II " in the left portion of the inside oval ... this auction is for cufflinks in AN OPPOSITE ARRANGEMENT - they were die struck (or initially designed) in reverse!!!
pictured above: VERY RARE REVERSE DIE STRUCK / REVERSE DESIGN - U.S.M.A. WEST POINT CUFFLINKS, c.1935. cufflinks read: "DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY" and then: "U.S.M.A." in the frame area of cufflinks and in the right portion of the central oval read the words: "WEST POINT MD CCC. II " in addition, the helmet and sword scabbard face to the right.
one of these cufflinks is in very good condition with no significant damage and only very minimal wear considering the age of the items. but the other cufflink has begun to develop some "patina".
engraved on the back of each of these cufflink are the words: "KREMENTZ" and "PLATED". each cufflink is 3/4"w x 1/2"h and 3/4"d in an oval shape with high-relief insignias.
