The listing, FIRECRACKER VINE SEEDS (20) has ended.
Ipomoea lobata commonly known as Firecracker Vine also known as Spanish Flag more known as Even Exotic is native to Mexico, Central and South America. This is a flowering vine and annual plant. Its flower is so beautiful and looks like Spanish flag so it also called "Spanish flag". Its can bloom year round in warm climates, but generally blooms from summer to fall. The flowers are multicolored of Red to Orange and Orange to Bright Yellow. This plant is daintier, with racemes of roughly nine, upward-facing tubular flowers. The lower flowers open and mature to an egg-custard yellow and the long pale stamens protrude.
Planting Ipomoea lobata seed is very rewarding. Soak the seed overnight in warm water or nick the flower seed with a knife to break the outer coat of the seed. For the earliest blooms, start the flower seed indoors. Transplant Ipomoea lobata seedlings outside after frost danger has passed. Firecracker Vine seeds can also be started directly outdoors in a prepared seed bed once temperatures have warmed in the spring. What you see in this photo is just one plant covered half of my trellis really amazing growth.
The last photo shows how big the trellis is that the vine grew over from a pot sitting next to it. That was just one vine if I had planted one on the other side it would have been fabulous. Structure was made from pvc pipes and orange construction fencing.
