The listing, Vintage China Box with Tiny Bottles. What is this thing??? has ended.

This is a super cute china box with flowered decals and gold under the lid. The box closure is all metal, perhaps brass. The closure itself is in the shape of a flower and the metal closure banding has an intricate notched pattern. I shuts perfectly. The tiny bottles inside are thick glass with rubber stoppers inside them, the caps are metal, brass I think. There are no markings that I can see. There is a patina to the metal that I will not be cleaning off.

I have no idea what this is, so perhaps you guys can educate me.

I would think it was perhaps something a lady would carry in her purse with scented water in the bottles to use as perfume...just a guess....very cute.
