THIS WILL BE A 5 DAY AUCTION SO THIS WAY I KNOW YOU WILL HAVE IT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS I do not know for sure how many photos it holds or if SD card you buy has to remain in it. I do believe it holds well more than 20 photos but to be certain I would have to open it and try it out which I do not want to do as then it will no longer be BRAND NEW cause I'd have to cut the plastic off...GOOD LUCK
