The package is sealed, so I assume it is. If not, the batteries are always inexpensive. I can't read it on the package and I don't want to open it up to find out. It's in one of those hard plastic containers that's sealed---by the way, I've heard you can use a can opener (the hand crack one) to open the packages! But, I've also used kitchen scissors to open packages like this. Just be careful not to get cut on sharp edges as you open the packages.

Thats ok i think they come with them anyway, we have an old one but dont remember if there was a battery . Im trying to get stocking stuffers for my two male cats.lol we do every yr. If i dont win it thats ok, and thanks for getting bk to me. Have a merry christmas too!

How kind you are! I would think they'd come with it is my guess too. This will be perfect for either a cat or a dog. And, pet toys are really a good idea for Christmas as you want to get them something they'll have fun with and will exercise the pet too.

Yup, we got the cats a new drinking fountain, pop up houses, toys, catnip,eating dishes, last year for christmas...love my cats:)
