My cat was just five weeks old when we got her from the shelter. They're supposed to be six weeks old to be adopted, but the lady was nice and went ahead and let us have her. So on her "birth certificate" it shows her as being born a week before she actually was. :) our dog is an Argentian dogo and he's the most protective and loyal dog. Super cute! He was actually a foster dog, not a shelter. Kind of like foster parents. I'll definitely be bidding on this!
just said how we have 4 dogs between 2 of us and 4 cats between 3 of us.One pit boxer mix was being fostered. My one daughter went to NY to get him cause she saw he was on death row.She called several times to NY and they never called her back. She has had him 3yr. now.
Ugh I hate hearing stories about shelters like that. I understand they can get busy, but isn't the whole point to find forever homes? You'd think they'd jump at the chance to adopt a pet out.
Me too! I'm in complete support of the Spay and Release program where they take stray cats and fix them, then release them back where they found them. I wish it were around here. Around everywhere!
