I was wondering the same thing as we bought the habitats for Christmas when they were so cheap on black friday. According to a review of the item @ Fat Brain Toys, it's a real nano. They also have an Easter version with bunny ears...

A:Yep, there's a working Hexbug inside, with removable antlers. You can also find these in the stocking-stuffer section of most Targets. They come in red (with green middle) and green (with red middle) and a snowflake design on their backs.
