Mazo and Hess, a well regarded political journalist and a Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, respectively, provide a sketch of Nixon's life, up to and including the 1968 election. Theodore H. White's "Breach of Faith" competes the chronological portrait, published in 1975 and focusing on Nixon's unprecedented scandal and resignation.
