Hello, for bid is simply a list of all ships. I would personally not recommend this for a 4 year old. In order to set it up, you need to punch ship parts out of cards and put it together. This is extremely frustrating as I spent about 10 minutes trying to carefully wedge pieces together so as to not break it. If you plan on getting this game for your son, help put together the ships and supervise gameplay. It may be awfully sophisticated for a 4 year old, and the ships are fragile. Also there are small pieces that may cause choking.
