that cassette adapter would be very useful. Any chance you might know a model number for it to help me look for it?

don't have a model number but any cassette adaptor with an audio out jack like the ones on headphones and a cassette at the other end found at any big box retailer will work.

I do not see a model number on it this attaches to an iPhone and the app on the iPhone plays the XM while it keeps the phone charged and docked. The cassette adaptor is sold separately.

Not sure if I totally understood your question, if I did not please correct me.

But you can go to the XM website and see this item, they sell it there and at Bestbuy and other retailers.

The cassette adaptors are all the same they have an audio jack the the audio out part of the dock and a cassette for the cassette player in the car

so you have to use the aux cord to listen? it wont connect thru the car lighter/charger to play thru the speakers? also is the app free for iphone 4?

you use bluetooth or an aux cord. The car charger will not play anything through the speakers it only charges and holds the dock and keeps the iPhone charging while it is in the dock so when you get out of your car your phone isn't dead from listening to the radio.

The app for the iPhone is in the App store for free
