The listing, WRITING COLLECTION KIT w/4 BOTTLES of INK & ACCESSORIES!!! has ended.

This auction is for a 7-piece ink bottle writing collection kit. I say 7-piece here because it consists of 4-bottles of ink; 1-plastic tipped pen; and 1 metal writing tip for the pen, plus the rubber pen tip cover for the pen.

The 4-ink colors are Bordeaux (like a magenta); Tobacco (dk. brown); Turquoise; and Verde. The colors are as shown on the labels of the bottles. The bottles are heavy glass. Unfortunately the bottles do not have an ounce size on them so I can't tell you how many ounces they are. They stand about 3" high and the base of the bottle is 2" across and then the lid is 1" across, if that helps any.

The box everything come in have a section for the bottles to set in as shown in the photos. The top of the lid box says "The Writing Collection" of it. There is a section for the pen and tip to set in w/a foam lining.

The weight of everything is: 1# 13.8oz. At on time when I was trying to learn how to use this set...dummy me went and accidently spilled the turquise ink...where'd it go Barb!!! So there is a little out of the bottle and some is spilled on the label...not shown in photo...because...duh Barb didn't want to show her duh ness...giggles here!!! I've had this set for a while and unfortunately I never did learn how to write with it. I originally paid $21.95, as shown in on of photos. Anyway hope someone can get some use out of it!!!

Because of my fixed income I won't be able to ship out until after Feb. 3rd.

This is amazing!!!! You're right it's hard to work this kind of thing. I learned using an actual Feather type pen, lemme tell ya that was a trial.

Yeah right now I have another kit & book to try to learn caliagraphy and so far I haven't tried it. Just looked at the book! I have to really concentrate to learn something like that and not have my mind on anything else.

All of the bottles of full, except for the turquise ( spilled just a little, nothing to notice...dummy me...Smiles!) The other I dipped my pen in once or twiice when I was trying to learn how to write and gave up! I just don't have the patience to learn something like this by myself. Yes this set is very nice.

Thats cool...this would help you a lot then!!! Right now my problem is I have all kinds of craft supplies but no room to work on my crafts at. Because I live in an efficiency apt. I'm going to ask my landlord though next time I see him if I can use one of the rooms downstairs in the basement for a craftroom. I don't think he would have a problem with that.

The easiest way to learn calligraphy (or it was for me) was to get the kit w/the old fashion fountain pens (schaeffer) with the cartridges and nibs and it has a book w/different styles and practice paper w/lines. I've done hundreds of envelopes for weddings and it takes me about 5 min per envelope. It's a fun (and can be profitable) hobby, but for beginners, I think the other pens are easier. Just my take on this, But this is a wonderful set. And I'm keeping my eye on this one! :-)

Thanks for the help! Okay...whew I had to go look in my big craft bag and see what all I had for calligraphy things! I have the "First Steps Series Calligraphy" book by Dan Marsh & "Calligraphic Practic Paper" tablet by Beinfang. And then I have a "Calligraphy Kit Sho Do Mini Zen"; it comes with a variety of things.I have to look in my craft bag to see if I got any of the calligraphy pen, cartridges, nibs & ink. But I doubt that I got those.

I looked for those pens and cartridges at walmart but did not see any, I did not know if they still made them or not! Mine came with some kind of markers, they are different widths, and a chart with all the strokes. Some paper too.

I got my paper at Hobby Lobby. They have all kinds of Calligraphy supplies there.

No it doesn't come with any instructions. You can buy calligraphy books for beginners at Hobby Lobby stores. I'm not for sure if Walmart sells them.

I am a calligrapher or scrivener (the antiquated name). If you want to learn the art, I highly recommend you seek out a class (often offered free of charge) through city recreation and arts departments or a local school, college or Y. "Book Courses" are fun, but you can not entirely enjoy the mastery or subtle nuisances of the art without the instruction, guidance and critique of a pro. There are numerous forms or "hands", styles. Calligraphy combined with artistic lettering is most beautiful, and prized art. I began my instruction at the age of 6, 50 years ago.
