The listing, Antique Brooch- marked Limoges France has ended.

This gorgeous antique brooch has been in my jewelry box for 20 years. It was given to me by an aunt who told me it was old then.

The painting on the brooch is beautiful with a tiny little relief painting (trim on clothing). It is marked Limoges, France and another word I can not make out. The metal is not gold, I don't know what it is as there are no markings on it anywhere.

The locking clasp is unusual. A piece pulls out of the cylinder and the pin is inserted. The piece is pushed back in, locking the pin in place. Very unique.

I can not afford free shipping on everything I send out. I will buy to buy a padded envelope in addition to postage. The $2.00 charged the winner for shipping will not cover it all.

just to let you know Limoges antique brooch's go for between 50 and 110 dollars. I wouldn't let this go. And I would take it to a jeweler to verify if that it's not gold. I just don't want to see you get ripped off. You should be asking much much more than what is currently bid. It's a nice piece

The clasp that's on there was used by limoges from the late 19th century until 1940.

sounds very nice and very pretty too. I have some Limoges items that I have to find, some are vases , the others jewelry. I have been sorting thru my jewelry boxes and just found a diamond and ruby bracelet , going to put it on here as soon as it lets me get a premium auciton or what ever it is!

Beautiful as all Limoges marked items are to me. I have one like this but it is stamped sterling. I do think they come in gold too. Good Luck
