The Dakota Conflict recounts the war (sometimes called "the Great Sioux Uprising") that began the 30 year struggle for the Great Plains, a struggle that continued at the Little Big Horn & ended at Wounded Knee.
In 1862, with much of America consumed by the Civil War, a fierce fighting erupted in Minnesota between Dakota Indians & white European settlers. By year's end, hundreds of settlers & Dakota's were dead. Many settlers had fled Minnesota forever, & thousands of Dakotas were in prison or exile. The day after Christmas, on an order signed by Abraham Lincoln, 38 Dakotas were hung in the largest mass execution in American History.
Using diaries, old photographs, sketchbooks, newspaper archives, trial transcripts & oral histories passed down through the generations, The Dakota Conflict tells a dramatic story of greed, betrayal, deceit & vengeance-and of courage, faith & dignity.
Narrated by Floyd Red Crow Westerman (Ten Cears in Dances With Wolves) & public radio's Garrison Keller.

This movie is in excellent condition, however, the case has a spot on the front where I removed a sticker and as is shown in picture 3, the back side of the case is slightly crushed & has a slight tear at the top.
