Description
The listing, Ancient Ammonite marine fossil pendant has ended.
Ammonite fossil pendant shown with polished front and rough back side. This is a beautiful natural specimen and has the lovely browns, sepias, and amber colors where the minerals filled in the openings in the original shell. A nautilus type of marine fossil. No chain comes with this. Matches the earrings I listed. Shown together in 3rd pic.
Wikipedia: Ammonites are an extinct group of marine invertebrate animals in the subclass Ammonoidea of the class Cephalopoda. These molluscs are more closely related to living coleoids (i.e. octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish) than they are to shelled nautiloids such as the living Nautilus species. The earliest ammonites appear during the Devonian, and the last species died out during the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.
