The skeleton handle design keeps weight down and is fitted with a co-polymer insert in the handle that aids in grip. The Amphibian blade is sharpened on both sides, one side has a plain edge, the other is partially serrated. The Amphibian includes a Kershaw diver's sheath, made from durable Kydex with a press-n-pull mechanism that secures the knife regardless of your position in the water. Questions & Comments
Sorry everyone about the description with it coming with a sheath I had copied and past the specs on this knife and did not realize about the sheath description in it in till now. but don't worry I am getting a sheath for it and I will have the pictures posted in a couple days. It will have a sheath that will have a clip on it and a strap to strap to your leg.
This is a knife that I had when I was in Iraq. It served many used with a lot of history behind it. It is a great knife and very durable to the use. And dax want miss this knife it was my name I used when I was in the marine corp. It was a way for me make my stuff. The winner will be very happy with this wonderful knife. Happy bidding to everyone.
the knife is amazing. I've not seen one like it for sale. in a long time. it is rare as far as just pick one up at the local gun shop goes. I make fixed blade knives part time and resharpen and restore full time. I have many KAI items including the first ever speed safe by Ken Onion. in hypercoler(1992) anodiz.alum. .... I want this knife (amphibian) bad. but am gonna let one of the vets get it. its way more deserved. whoever wins. u really got lucky finding this bad ass piece of knife history. god bless
thank you this was a great knife. I have had many great knifes I love to collect them and thought this knife would be good for someone else. I hate to let this one go but I have to many right now to know what to do with them lol. It is hard to find good quality knives any more. You have a great night and thanks for looking.
my friends sog was once great. now even there "high end models from Japan are crap. Kershaw on the other hand is a good/exelent mass producer and probably always will be. KAI is the umbrella co. for such labels as Kershaw, Kershaw USA, Zero Tollerance, and Shun. even the China made is pretty good. and I hate China made anything. except the food. steer clear of SoG. in my opinion.
I would have to agree with you on the sog. I love good quality stuff and not the cheep stuff that is out there today. sometimes you just have to look closer to get what you want. Kershaw is a great brand and it stands up to it. this knife as been through a lot and is still in good shape with a razor edge on it.
Thanks for your service friend!! My son did his tour in the AFF and is home safe and sound. He was medically, but honorably discharged because of the wear and tear in the service. I'm just glad he AND you made home safely. Again, thank you!! Watching.
If it doesn't have the sheath..why did you say the amphibian includes a divers sheath???hmmm.nice knife regardless....is dax gonna miss his knife!!!hahaha! Good luck man....very nice fishing blade!
