How sharp are the blades? Can they shave arm hair? I don't plan to use it to shave haha, just want to get an idea of its sharpness.

Yes, the blades are very sharp. I didn't try it on my arm. But I like all my knives very sharp.

As do I haha(: I find sharpening with a stone is difficult (especially keeping the same angle for each stroke) and with one of the cheap sharpeners just take off too much metal.

A good 2 sided stone works best. Same strokes at a 45 degree angle on rough and smooth sides of stone. Works every time.
