The listing, Banana Tree! has ended.
Banana tree! I live in Oklahoma. I planted it in the spring--this year- was mid April. Many online sites offer advice about caring for this tree, which is basically just keeping it watered and in full sun. The tree was given to me by a friend and I planted it using mushroom compost mixed with the soil. It grew to over 15 feet and sprouted 5 babies, one of which is what you will be receiving. Banana trees produce fruit every 3 years, so your tree will be year 2. Each tree produces babies that you can pass on to others. It needs to be above freezing. I dug my mother tree and the 5 babies up last week and they are stored in the garage until spring, when they can be replanted for the warm months. This will be a live tree that can be planted whenever a possibility of freeze is over--depending on your area. It was easy and looked great in my backyard! Happy Harvesting! I am estimating the cost of shipping. The plant is 3-4 feet in length and I am estimating the shipping cost. I will not charge more than $6.00.
