what i have is a sea gate freeagent go flex external hard drive new never used can hold up to 60,000 pictures and movies and you can also store all of your dvds tapes and what have you it will come with the standard usb conection and usb cord

alienware is just the brand. Like HP, Dell, Gateway, etc. It doesn't change the fact that your computer is a windows computer. Alienware is not an operating system. So it would have the same options as other brands. The only option for hard drives is to store data. Don't know what other options you speak of. And anyone who buys this and actually receives it I would suggest formating the drive. Just plug in the Hard Drive. Click MY COMPUTER. Find the Hard Drive. Right Click on it and selet format. Choose NTFS from the list, select quick format, and start. Youre done! Hard drive is clean and ready to use. :)

and to your comment if you have ever had an alienware brand computer or anything at that you may know that they do have different options for external hard drives like 3 types of zipp files, along with plug and play options and being able to store media like full movies and games along with pics and personal vids

Yes it is preloaded with very easy to use backup software and to jumboB what you will get is the usb and the device it self and you will get the plug for the usb you can see that from the pic it is the third pice on the top next to foren wall plug

all platforms compatable and it is preloaded for all comuters and has more options if you have alienware as i do you will have a few more options that you wont have with out alienware,,but is compatable with all pcs, macs, windows, even windowes vista...
