The listing, 1983 Uncirculated Us Currency Coin Set has ended.
My grand dad got these for me when I was a kid. They've just been sitting around for years now. Time to pass them on before I loose them. These would make a great gift for a collector! Feel free to ask any questions and check out my other listings! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
Questions & Comments
This is a proof set, not an Uncirculated Set. Too bad, lol! : )
My understanding is that a proof coin can still be considered uncirculated as long as it has never been spent and in circulation. Hence the term uncirculated, which it has not. If you want to get technical and say that it is not uncirculated because it is also a proof then to each his own I suppose. Maybe it just isn't for you which is fine. I'm not a currency collector so I thought someone else would enjoy this set which is why it's listed here. Either way these are the old stamped quarter and nickel and they were packed by the US mint says so in the top left corner so they've never been used as change. If that's not your definition of uncirculated then your welcome to move along to the next listing. Lol.
If you tell me what to look or ill let you know if its there when I get home from work... I do know that there is a tiny little s on them...Not sure if that helps. If not and you're looking for something else let me know and ill check ;)
They all have a tiny little s on the head side. The nickel and the dime in addition to the s have another stamp. The nickel has an FS and the dime has a JS. Not sure if those mean anything to you or if that even helps... But that's what I can see.
