It may also be an Anaheim pepper, as they closely resemble a hatch chili, as the hatches are hard to get outside of New Mexico. Also I've never heard of using a hatch for chili relleno, although it sounds delicious. Traditionally chili rellenos are made with pablano peppers.

We use our "poblano" peppers (the darker ones - I also have listed) for making chili Rellano's ;) These Mild Peppers listed here, are great in practically everything ;) if you like pepper flavor.

In the southwest these are called "Hatch Green Chilies" they come in hot and mild varieties. They are used in mexican cooking. They also stuff them with cheese, batter and fry as Chiies Relienos. Sorry spelling on that may not be correct. These are very nice to cook with and if you want to make them really mild remove the seeds before cooking or useing. Hope this helps you get more bids

We use our poblano's for chili relleno's, but I am sure any tasty pepper would work....just like stuffing Jalepeno's with assorted cheeses (seeds removed of course ;) Thanks for the input ;)
