I need a stick of ecc to see if it will work in my board.... some people say it will some say it wont. Its supposed to hold 16gb of ddr2 but the only 4gb sticks I can find are ecc. So before I bought those I wanted to see if ecc even worked in this thing.

There is buffered and un buffered you have to see which one the pc takes

That is fine I do not know much about it either. Did not find out that there were different kinds until I ordered this. Was pretty upset that it does not fit that is why I ask to make sure it can be used. Would hate to see anyone end up with it and not fit like it did with me. Thanks for looking

most standard desktops use non-ecc, unbuffered. The ram listed is usually used in servers
