This is 3 random pieces of labadorite uncut and unpolished. This is my favorite to tumble!! Polished it is more beautiful than i could describe but even in its rough states its stunning!
one pic is in water to attempt to show the blues and teal colors which are hard to capture.. All of my pieces are nicely colored when wet or held towards light.

Labradorite is the plagioclase feldspar ad in the same family as albite. Labradorite has been found in some meteorites.Gem quality labradorite is known as spectrolite; which is a colorless variety, darkened with needlelike inclusions, it is often called black moonstone. Spectrolite is a dark and opalescent blue with a shimmer when the light hits it.
