can I use this card reader to transfer pics from my fijifilm camera to my computer? My camera connection is kind of oval shaped.

The Connection (Jack) makes NO difference what so ever
What this device does is it allows you to remove your memory Card from your camera and insert it into this device and then Plug It into your Computers USB Port which then allows you to transfer your Pics
All this is of course only possible IF your camera has a removable SD Card
