The listing, 1 GB Desktop PC Memory Upgrade has ended.

WOW!! - NIP-SimpleTech 1GB PC3200 400MHz DDR Memory Upgrade. This was a gift from a friend. Unfortunately I can't use it due to my PCs already being maxed out for RAM. It is new in the sealed package. It has never been opened and I do not know how it was handled, so I can't make any guarantees on it. It was purchased from Sam's Club, but because I'm not a member they would not let me return it. I believe this retails for close to 100 bucks. I'll also ship it free in the US. Happy bidding!

Does not have a pin # specified on the box, but I can see thru the little pastic window on the box that it's numbered 1 to 92. Hope that helps.

What is 100 pin then? I think mine is 3200,
but I was told it was 100 pin ... Will be watching ... :)
Could you open the box and look to see how many pins?

Really do not want to open the box in case whoever wins wants to return it to Sam's or resell as new in package. But I'm pretty sure Jacat29 is correct. It says compatible with 184 pin, which makes sense as I can see it's numbered 1-92 on each side (92x2=184). It is a one slit (not two).

Sorry - See it on the back of the box now in the fine print. It says on box "* This product is compatible with most desktop computers that use 184-pin NON-ECC, DDR PC 2100, PC 2700, and PC 3200 Memory Modules" Also says you can check for compatibility and get tech support at www.simpletech.com or by calling 800-367-7330. It's item # 158137 (does not say if that's the Sam's or Simpletech item #)

Hi I'm not familiar with any kind of pc upgrading. But this will make my desktop a 2GB? It's only got 1 GB on it now. I'm on my phone right now. But will check & see if it compatible with gateway. Thank you

It depends on how your machine is made and how many memory slots it has. If you have 1 GB in a single stick now, have 2 or more slots, and this is compatible with your machine, then this will give you 2GB total. You have to check if the 1GB you have now is a single stick, like this, or is actually 2 (512) MG sticks. If your PC only has 2 memory slots to put RAM and has 2- 512 sticks in it now, this may only get you to 1.5 GB max, because you'll have to remove one of the 512s to install this. Hope that helps.

Your welcome. Yes, you'd have to open the PC unless you have a manual that shows you what the components look like inside. You'll have to open it or have someone else open it for you to install this.
