Thanks for asking to look at this. I didn't notice when I listed but yes it is broken in a couple of places. It is still big enough to be used. Once the pencil is used I believe you can use a crayon. I think it is just a wax pencil. I haven't opened one so I'm not sure about that.

Sorry for the confusion. I hadn't actually looked at the auction before I left comments. . Once I looked at the auction I realized that my daughter had listed this. We always try to be hones about the condition of things.
