is this harmful to your shoes? Does it glow like when you snap a glow stick or does it have to be "charged" per say in light prior to heading out? Curious, I've seen these everywhere since its close to halloween. I'd like to expeirment with the idea but dont want to necessarily mess up a pair of shoes or clothing either

It can be done with paint, glow in dark shoe laces, yes . Most glow in dark adhesive have to charged before going out. .. I use the paint. It's permitt but I got my shoes at goodwill to paint so I wasn't worried about messing up a good pare on my first attempt. I also love to paint just the bottoms wear you would see from behind while walking. So the heels or shoes stay in perfect condition while the bottoms only glow. It's really fun. And neat to do. Just make sure they are dry. But I never had any problems. I do this for going out . And I get a million questions and compliments on my heels and shoes ;)
