More info about the markings:
The 14 karat gold layer (as is the case in this set) is bonded to the sterling silver by a proprietary technology of mechanical bonding that uses heat and pressure to form a uniform metallurgical bond changing the two materials into one. The sterling silver core is covered with a permanent layer of 14 karat gold that is not removable. The gold thickness in bonded jewelry is greater than gold-plated or Filled products and the gold layer will not wear off as is the case with gold-plated jewelry.
