Description

The listing, Vintage Smoking Pipe Alpaca MF has ended.

This is a vintage smoking pipe that measures about 7 inches long. It has a detachable catch at the front which hinges open. It has several hallmarks, including the initials "MF" and "ALPACA". There is another stamp that I cannot make out, and one that I believe says "Argentina".

This is a bomba, for drinking yerba mate, not a pipe. Nice item though.

It's supposed to be good for you, The Guarani Indians drink it(and they've been around forever!! Lol) It comes from Argentina, Uraguay and Paraguay. It has caffeine like qualities but not as harsh as coffee and easier on the stomach.You put the tea in the end ,I believe and drink from it like a straw, and you aren't supposed to stir with it, you just let it steep(like a tea ball). Alpaca is a type of metal.

It's actually called a 'Bombilla', and is used for drinking the Yerba mate' tea. I have one of these and the gourd we drink it from, too. That's all I drink!

From Wikipedia. Bomba or Bombilla, depends on the language;
A bombilla (Spanish), bomba (Portuguese) or masassa (Arabic) is type of drinking straw, used to drink mate. Bombillas contains a filtre in the lower extreme to separate the mate infusion from leaves and stems. Traditional bombillas are made of alpacca silver, a metal alloy of copper and nickel, while other common materials are stainless steel and hollow-stemmed cane.
Whatever you want to call it, it is used to partake of "The Drink of the Gods". Best drink for life! Thank you for offering it!

Yeah, I wasn't sure what it was at first but a lot of people seem to be interested in it. I'm glad someone will get some good use out of it.
