This is new never used but I did open it to see what the texture of it was but it was not the kind I was looking for. I never used it. The jar is full.

what sort of texture is it? Is it used as a gel?

The back of the jar says :Twist, shape and texturize hair into changeable styles. A pliable fiber technology network provides support and control so you can instantly replay. It says to apply into damp or dry hair. I looked at it and it looks more like a paste than a gel. ..... Hope this helps.
