"Bob" Uecker is a retired American Major League Baseball player,
later a sportscaster, comedian and actor. Uecker was given the title
of "Mr. Baseball" by TV talk show host Johnny Carson.

He spent 6 undistinguished years in the Major League Baseball, as a catcher.

Bob’s humorous and enthusiastic personality has made him an ambassador
of the game. Since 1971, his unique play-by-play style has thrilled fans of the
Milwaukee Brewers where he began his announcing career. He later gained
national recognition during the late 1970s as a member of ABC’s broadcasting
team for Monday Night Baseball, the League Championships and the World Series.

On 6/21/67, Bob recorded a career-best 5 RBI, including a grand slam vs SF Giants on that one playing day, he'll never forget.
