*I won this on here well over a year ago.
It works perfectly, we got a new car with built in GPS so we no longer need this.
I never "registered" or "updated" this.
I never needed to, just plugged into car and it works great.
Took maybe 5 minutes to figure out.
Very self explanatory but there are user manuals available from the manufacturer here:

Also, I never "reset" anything, it still has the original owner's New York 'places of interest' in here. I'll leave that up to you.

I don't know how old the maps are but I live in a newly developed area & my address is on the maps. Also I have entered other addresses that I could not find on google and I found them on this GPS.

I love your block party I have had a lot of idiots come on my auctions and literally call me names and say my stuff is ugly I have a lot of people I have blocked and flagged as I am to nice of a person and have 100% feedback to put up with their crap on here.I am so tired of them especially the ones who are not verified or just starting and saying my GIN is to high well I figure its my auction and I offer free shipping so I will list them however much I want to. So sorry to vent but so tired of it. I always tell them to move on down the line and that they are being blocked and flagged so i dont have to deal with them again. good luck on your auction it is a great one have a great night

*helpful hint: if you find yourself at your fan limit but would like to fan more people, go to you list of members you have fanned. Go to the last page and check profiles for inactive members that you fanned (haven't logged in for a while or never listed anything you are interested in) unfan these members. No use in fanning an inactive member or someone who never lists anything, right?

Honestly, I have no idea. Looking at the website it looks like you don't.
It shows links to update your device all over. You just have to enter the device, sign in with an email address etc. but as I stated in auction, I never did. Never needed to. Every location I entered was there.

it cost money to update unless you have a paper that comes with some of them that offers free updates for life and the updates for this device are for Canada not US as seen in pic 5 it says Canada right on it and the maps aren't cheap

No this GPS is NOT only for Canada.
I am in the USA as you can see in picture 9. I have also used this in California with no problems. The Listia member I won this from was in New York.
Like I said before I have no idea how much the maps are but this unit alone would run you well over $100.

I just looked this up on amazon.com and it shows one like this it says maps of USA Canada Puerto Rico ect.... if watchers with the questions go there ypou can see what it says I typed in name and model number and it showed 2 of them hope this help the questions
