For auction: One lot of 8 European coins including a 90% silver 1/2 German Mark & coins from other European countries described below. The lot of 8 coins is shown in picture 1 w/the date side showing. Since diameters are provided in mm, remember that 25.4 mm = ~1", & the U.S. quarter is 24.3 mm in diameter. Pls use the pictures to help you bid as well.

Pictures 2 & 3 show the 90% silver German Deutsche Reich mark, w/an actual silver weight of .08 oz (~1/12 oz). Its diameter is 20 mm, & it is the most valuable coin in the lot w/a condition of VG-F.

Pictures 4 & 5 show the 1940-A (Berlin mint) 50 Deutsche Reichspfennig, which is in F condition, made from aluminum, & thus very light w/a weight of 1.35 g (about 1/2 of a U.S. copper-coated zinc penny). It is 22.7 mm in diameter, & is the 2nd most valuable coin shown.

Pictures 6 & 7 show the 1944 French 1 franc in VF, made of aluminum-bronze at 4 g & 23 mm in diameter.

Pictures 8 & 9 show the Belgium 1916 25 centimes (abbrev. as cent) in a deeply toned zinc, which weighs 6.5 g & is 26 mm in diameter. The coin was produced during the German occupation of Belgium in WWI. It is in VG-F condition.

Pictures 10 & 11 show the 1940-R (Rome) 1 Lira coin in nickel w/a weight of 8 g & a diameter of 27 mm in EF condition.

Pictures 12 & 13 show the 1920-R 50 centesimi coin, struck in nickel w/a weight of 6.1 g & a diameter of 24 mm. The coin is in AG-G condition. See in picture 12 the difficulty of reading AEQVITAS, which means justice in Latin.

Pictures 14 & 15 show the 1967 Austria 1 shilling coin in aluminum-bronze, w/a weight of 4.2 g & a diameter of 22.5 mm, w/a condition of F. Picture 15 shows the Edelweiss flower, made famous in America in The Sound of Music in 1965.

Pictures 16 & 17 show the 1922 Czechoslovakia 1 Koruna in copper nickel, in F-VF condition, w/a weight of 6.66 g & a diameter of 25 mm.
