Haha I had Kai and Bear, they breeded and had Lilly, Baby, and Kaison (We named him that because he was kai's son. lol) They all lived a very happy life.. Now I have miley, and she is just too precious. They were all Russian Dwarfs, I love the breed too. Very friendly (:

We let Maddy and Milo have 3 litters, over a 6 month period, I kept them separate after Maddy has her babies, We tried for one more litter and it never happened.. figured she was done.. now they are together for ever.. and very happy.. It was alot of fun and we were able to find homes with no problems.. so hopefully we can do this again some day.. what color is your Russian? I think mine are called Lilac.
our first one was a winter white.. well sorry I get so chatty.. I love hamsters.. funny I didnt want them.. now I am hooked.. worse than the kids :)

Haha, no problem I just animals in general (: But hammys are just too cute to pass up. Yeah I purchased Bear and Kai at a all girls Petsmart and put them together. About 2 months later I came in and picked Kai up and there is 6 babys under her! I'm like wowwww! What the heck! LOL so I had to get another cage for Bear and decided to keep 3/6 litter. It was so hard to give the other three away, but I know they all went to good homes. (: I'm not sure what mine are Kai was white/grey, Bear was orange! Kaiden was orange/grey, Lilly was white/grey and so was Baby. Miley is all white.

LOL How cool!! you had some neat colors.. ours are all the same.. light gray and white.. our first litter was 6 babies, then 5.babies , then 4 babies ( her last) weird huh? Maddy was a amazing mother.. she did a really good job. we started handling them at 7 days.. it was alot of fun.. I really miss it.. well thanks for chatting hammies with me :)

In the very beginning I would sprinkle millet and plain instant oatmeal, around for them to forage, but they ate regular hamster food, that was a treat.. of a little cottage cheese, some shredded mozzerella cheese, some whole wheat bread pieces, tiny pieces of carrot and apple. a few sunflower seeds,.( carrot and apple is a very rare treat) because of the sugar content.. Russian dwarfs are prone to Diabetes.. so no sweet treats.. their favorite treats are cottage cheese, spaghetti, tiny piece of cheese pizza, broccolli, etc.. ok... rambling again sorry its getting late.. I am going to retire for the nite :)'
