It's bluetooth. There is no dongal. No instructions but they're readily found online: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2845

Officially yes. It may work in a limited capacity on Windows as a generic bluetooth mouse, or you might find a blog that explains how to use the Apple BootCamp drivers, but unless you like to tinker with things I wouldn't recommend this approach. I only recommend you use this with a real Apple Macintosh computer.

No. Only an Apple Macintosh computer with bluetooth will work with this mouse (and it has to run at least OS X 10.5 aka Leopard).

Just a quick comment that the ball (middle button) loses its function to scroll. You can search the internet about this issue.
