it just fits into an open slot in the back of ur computer and plugs into a 3.0 plug in ,its actually an external not internal,was my mistake putting internal

Which makes it internal if it fits in a slot ... Anything inside the computer is internal and anything outside the computer is external !!

it doesnt take up a pci slot on the motherboard it plugs into a 3.0 spot on the motherboard via the cable thats attached to it .am getting a picture done of the cable end ,and trying to find more info online for ya

added a new picture of the plug that has to plug into the motherboard via a 3.0 usb spot,if you have an old motherboard u wont have a place to plug it in ,this came with a brand new motherboard from MSI that is 3.0 ready
