This is a great phone! It was a new one to replace my insured one that I damaged, then my account became ready for upgrade, I moved to the iPhone.

If you go to the post office and do first class mail in a bubble mailer envelope it shouldnt be more than 4 or 5 dollars depending on the weight. No insurance necessary. If it is like 2 lbs or less it will be cheaper.

I don't know if it can be used as a pre-pay. It is a verizon phone and was used under contract.
