          1997 Space Shuttle STS-86 KSC Launch Space Cover  in 8-Page Presentation Folder #33 (not official).  The STS-86 mission was launched on 25 Sep 1997 with a crew of 8 from Cape Canaveral and landed at Cape Canaveral on 6 Oct 1997.  During the mission the crew transferred over 4 tons of supplies from the SPACEHAB-DM to the MIR Space Station.  This space cover is cancelled at Kennedy Space Center for the  launch. Another space cover is included - cancelled 25 Sep 1997 in Houston, Texas.  Houston is the location of NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center, which controls the space shuttle after launch. This was the 24th manned mission to MIR (MIR-24).
Note: The MIR Space Station was launched on 20 Feb 1986 and re-entered the atmosphere on 23 March 2001.
