Too many typos in the last comment-I am starting over! lol..... Sorry I didn't answer sooner- I was gone all day Sunday.
OK, the strap's over all length is about 18 in. so the strap when holding the purse would be about 9 in. This strap was designed to be hand held or on the arm.
