I've never heard of red jade. Sure it's real?

Many people think of jade as being green, but it actually comes in many different colors. Pure nephrite and jadeite are both white, but different levels of trace elements—mainly iron, chromium, and manganese—give both minerals their wide range of colors, sometimes even in the same rock.

Shades of green, yellow, brown, gray, and black are common in both nephrite and jadeite. Jadeite can also be lavender, light blue, or reddish-orange.

When it was sold to me it was sold as "real" but I guess I cant swear by it. I can only hope honesty still holds true on some level :o)

it is beautiful, i think the bracelet is real jade but the earrings look like red beads. and yes I have seen jade in colors from green to orange. and yes the orange was real also. mother in law gets jade from Vietnam and her last one was orangeish red

red jade certainly does exist. i am the queen of jade. i have researched it extensively and own quite a bit.. one thing that lets you know the jade is real is that it feels very cool in your hands. the more you touch it the more you love it. this is a lovely set valerie. i would love to see some more of your items and another pic of this. please email me at queenkhalilah@gmail.com

Thank you so much. I have sent you several pictures. I tried to get as close as i could with being blurry. They are cold to the touch. They look like a solid redish orange but when I hung the earring on the lampshade you could see "hair like" strands. Let me know your thoughts. :o)
