hi ...again..... looking at the pictures and i know i should not comment on if real or not with pictures big no no for gemologist , but in the picture of the stamping it looks as the gold is rubbing off , now this may be lighting , or such but like i said bid if you think its beautiful ... a tip for people who want the gold plating to stay is take clear nail polish ,paint the interior of the ring as this is what will wear fastest .....good luck , again just trying to help : )

I would say yes. even if it has a marking inside. Your guess as good as mine. One way or another this piece will not turn your finger green.

donidarling, I see you on here a lot and I can't watch this auction without telling you what I know to be true......14KT means it is white gold, and if it says 14KT then I would bet the diamonds are real. This is a gorgeous ring and I would love love love to own it....already a fan...watching...

Well i won this on Listia awhile ago and I didn't know if it was real or not. So this morning after reading your comment I checked to see if they were real. And they are not. Thats why i didn't put diamond in the heading. Just have to be honest. And the marking, well i just don't know either. I really truly think this is sterling silver with a fake marking. But the ring is beautiful though. It is in all what a person can wear. The ring is big for me. I paid 22,??? for it and even though i don't know about the marking I still really love the ring. But if it doesn't fit I thought i would pass it on. But my dear thank you so very much for commenting on this piece and if you bid good luck. I am going to fan back also. TY very much.....

Hi ......i'm in the process of becoming a gemologist and i thought i could help here , usually when marked 14kt it is real but due to gold prices people have fudged the rules , the only true way of testing is an acid test , which for listia , i would not go through the trouble , which is great the way you described it , hats off for that .....but , gold plated can be scratched off , i say this for the person who wins if they want to know without the expense ... also they do put cz's in gold but can also be white sapphire , topaz etc ....best bet to do is bid if you like the ring as a costume piece ..very pretty , but not my size or i'd bid : (

Thanks for the input. I am betting it's sterling silver. I know China puts fake markings in there jewely also. There is no wear on this piece. It is the way the camera took the picture. This is a stunning piece and like I said I paid 22,??? for this even know about the 14kt probably be fake. I just love the ring and don't believe any one would have any problem with this. And I was told even though this isn't that if you buy 14 or 10 or 18kt over the ring filled with silver thats better than something with electroplate because if you scrap you can also scrap for the silver. I am pretty good about putting quality jewerly out on Listia. i would never try and list something that is woren and looks like it coming off the ring. This just seems like a nice ring that I am listing and any would love to have.....
