Questions & Comments
can i please get bottom measurements form heel to toe
hey, sorry, I waited til my husband was home just to make sure it was measured correctly (he does handyman type stuff at home) he says the foot part of it would be about 5 and 7/8 inch. Hope that helps and thanks for the question and for visiting my auction! :-)
That question is a little tricky, but I will try. Here is what I found at live strong.org : Put socks on the baby and then measure his foot from the end of the heel to the tip of the big toe. If he curls his toes, as toddlers often do, stand him up and place his weight on his feet and then measure. Compare the length of baby's longest foot, in inches, with a baby shoe manufacturer's chart to determine the proper size. For example, the Pip Squeakers website (see Resources) explains that a foot measuring up to 3 3/4 inches equals a baby/toddler shoe size 2; 4 1/4 inches equals a size 3; 4 1/2 inches equals a size 3 1/2 or 4; 4 3/4 inches equals a size 5; 5 inches equals a size 6; 4 1/4 inches equals a size 7; 5 1/2 inches equals a size 8; 6 inches equals a size 9; 6 1/4 inches equals a size 10; and 6 1/2 inches equals a size 11. Manufacturer size charts may vary slightly, so ask a salesperson for the proper inches-to-size conversion for a particular shoe, or visit the shoe company's website for a sizing chart.
I have read on several sites and do agree that Converse shoes tend to fit big, about a half size bigger than other shoes that the child might wear.
When one of my kids turned 2, she was just fitting into a size 8, so I would say probably 18 months - 2 and a half age might fit into a Converse 7, give or take.
I hope this helps! And thanks for the question! If anyone else on Listia has insight into this question, I would appreciate it if you chip in your advice, too! :-)
@ lov3fr3ak, according to http://www.zelenshoes.com/converse-size-chart.html a toddler size 7 Converse is 14 centimeters. oh and the earlier website was livestrong.com not org and the auto edit put the space in there. you can copy and paste either of the websites into your browser, my computer won't let me make links in a Listia comment the way I can in an email, dunno why.
@ lov3fr3ak - I am now second-guessing myself about my own guess on age where I said 18 mo to 2 and 1/2, I think 2 and 1/2 would actually probably be a bit old for this size shoe. Not sure, but I would think it would be 18 mo or maybe a bit younger to probably 24 mo. or so. I'd do the sock measuring test if possible, though!
