The listing, New Jade, 15" Strand Lot 57 has ended.

READ THIS CAREFULLY:

I will not ship to you unless you provide a Listia verified address within 7 days. If you are just
starting and do not know what that is, please see Listia help or file a support ticket.

I will no longer be posting auctions without a starting bid.

Do not bid if you really don't want the item.

I *DO* prefer to ship multiple items to a person who wins multiple auctions, so if you are bidding on more than one item, please let me know so I can ship them all at once. It saves me time and money. Sometimes I can upgrade to priority flat rate if someone wins enough bids. I am not currently charging shipping, so take advantage of it, until I go broke and can't afford it anymore!

Many of my auctions are gemstone strands. Please note that it is natural, as many of the stones are hand cut or shaped, that the sizes may vary slightly, the coloration within the strands of stones will vary, and occasionally, despite my best efforts, one may break during shipping. Let me know if this occurs, although it is difficult to replace one stone from a string. The same applies to any gemstone pendants; the color can vary between two pieces of the same material; many are handcut and the sizes given are as close an approximation as possible.

Now....to pleasanter things......

15" strand of very colorful New Jade, 4mm round cuts. Please view closeups to see range of colors in these beads - just gorgeous, greens, tans, olives. Enjoy!

Thank you for the support, and I will try, but I simply cannot fan everyone who asks. I keep that list for the very few sellers I use repeatedly - but I will check and if you stock things I like, I will add you. Fair enough? :)

What is "New Jade"? Is it another stone that looks close enough to Jade that it's used as Jade in some jewelry? Thanks!

"New Jade" is simply a form of jade that appears not to have darkened, like the dark forest green jade most people think of. It's a totally different stone, the name is just kind of a joke. There's an "olive" new jade, too, that is more olive-toned. Occasionally you will see real green jade but it's quite expensive. There is also Malaysian Jade - and it is normally white, and quite soft. It takes dye like crazy, though, so it's typical to see Malaysian jade in rainbow colors. I tend to dislike dyed stones, so I very rarely buy those - I have a few in colors that are hard to find in natural stone but that's really about all. I hope that helps.....I haven't looked, but Wiki might have more information on it.

Cheers,
M
