This is like a cross between a postcard and a Christmas card. It's folded and the front looks like a postcard, and the bak says "Season's Greeting. Landing of the Mayflower December 21, 1626. Forsaking the comforts of civilization these Pilgrims braved a vast, little known ocean, faced untold hardships in a unsettled land so that they might have the right to worship as they chose.
On November 21, the the cabin of the Mayflower they drafted the Mayflower compact, the first American constitution, signed by 41 of the Pilgrim Fathers to serve as a form of government. Democratic in spirit it was in force until Plymouth Colony was annexed to Massachusetts in 1691.
Christmas 1620 was a joyous occasion fro these brave people who had founded a new home in a new land.
Postcard is in good shape. It has 5 small pinholes near the fold at the middle top where a previous owner had it tacked to a board.
